Graduate Level Fellowship to Slovenia!

AMLA Members looking to do a fellowship in Slovenia may do so through a partnership between the AMLA and the American Slovenian Education Foundation (ASEF). Qualified applicants must submit their information on-line (see link below).

Applications are being accepted for qualified candidates in the following fields:

Architecture: Research Projects: sacred architecture; publications
Organic Chemistry: Research Projects: Chemistry
Computer Science: Research Projects: Large data, artificial intelligence, other.
Earth Sciences, Karstology: Research Projects: Physics and Chemistry of Karst processes
Mechanical Engineering: Research Projects: Structures and Design, Progressive fracturing, Contact Stress Distribution, Modelling of Crack Growth;
Medicine: Research Projects: Psychotherapy, Study of psychotic experiences and suicidal tendencies
Language and Slovenistics: Research Projects: Language, Ethnic Identity
Political Science: Research Projects: International Relations, American Politics, Slovenian Politics
Theology: Research Projects: Moral Theology, Spirituality, Spiritual Assistance

About the fellowship

The ASEF fellowship provides funding (travel, housing, and some living expenses) for up to a 5-10 week summer research visit to a Slovenian university or research institution in the area of applicant’s field of study/expertise. There is no target start date - that will be decided between the successful applicant and her/his mentor/professor.

Eligibility

Applications are open to full time students, enrolled in a higher education institution. Their knowledge of Slovenian and of Slovenia is highly recommended. A typical applicant is a senior undergraduate, masters, or junior PhD student. Applicants must be a Member of the AMLA to receive AMLA funding.
